Isaac Williams | WCBI Weather

Sunrise & MidDay

Isaac returns to the Magnolia State to be the morning meteorologist for WCBI News Sunrise and Midday!

Before coming to WCBI, Isaac worked at WAAY-TV in Huntsville, AL where he helped cover the tragic tornado outbreak on April 28, 2014. While in school, he worked at WVUA-TV in Tuscaloosa, AL, anchoring the weather on the weekend evening newscasts.

Isaac holds a Master’s Degree in Geosciences from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Geography and Mathematics from the University of Alabama, graduating cum laude. While at MSU, he also was a Graduate Teaching Assistant, helping instruct students on essential chroma-key mechanics and the basics of telling a compelling weather story. He also was published as a co-author in the National Weather Association’s Journal of Operational Meteorology in June 2014 for his work on the paper entitled “Usage of Color Scales on Radar Maps”, and this work was also presented as a poster at the National Weather Association Conference in Charleston, SC, in October 2013.

While not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family in Tuscaloosa and in Daytona Beach, Florida. He loves listening to country music as well as playing the guitar and piano and singing some country tunes. He also enjoys watching college football, and hopes to cheer on his Crimson Tide to another national championship.
